Jack Jones, the retreat!

It is with great pride that I announce that I have been awarded the African Women Create Fellowship from the Jack Jones Literary Arts! The fellowship is sponsored by the inspiring Yolanda Sangweni, founder and editor of AfriPop! magazine. The magazine will run a feature on me as well so keep on the lookout for that! I feel so blessed and lucky for this opportunity to share work and space with so many wonderful women of color. The retreat, which will be held in Taos, NM(!), will feature master classes and talks with some really incredible women including Angela Flournoy, author of the incredible The Turner House. If you haven't yet, go read it, like now. I can't express enough my joy. I write onward and forward. Let's get this book baby done!
